Terms and Conditions

By booking a service with MateWay Journey, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are governed by the laws of Australia under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Booking Agreement

When you confirm a booking with MateWay Journey, you are entering a legally binding agreement. You must be over 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into contracts.

Payment Terms

Full or partial payment is required at the time of booking, depending on the package. All prices are in AUD (Australian Dollars) unless otherwise stated. Secure online and bank payment options are available.

Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel your trip at any time, with an 80% refund for cancellations made 30 days in advance, a 50% refund for cancellations made 15–29 days before departure, and no refund for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to travel.

Refunds will be processed within 10 business days. These conditions comply with Australian Consumer Law, and you may have rights to a refund if the service was not provided as promised.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend you take out comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, cancellations, lost baggage, and personal liability.

Changes to Itinerary

MateWay Journey reserves the right to adjust itineraries, hotels, or transport due to weather, local conditions, or supplier issues. We will provide suitable alternatives where possible.

Responsibilities and Liability

While we coordinate your journey, MateWay Journey is not liable for third-party delays, strikes, political unrest, or natural disasters. We act as an agent for service providers and are not liable for losses outside our control. However, you have rights under the ACL for any services that fail to meet expectations.

Passports, Visas & Health

It is your responsibility to ensure you have valid travel documents, visas, and vaccinations before travel. We may offer guidance but do not take liability for entry issues.

Conduct During Travel

Travellers are expected to behave respectfully and follow local laws and customs in India. MateWay Journey reserves the right to remove participants who behave inappropriately without refund.

Privacy Policy

We collect only necessary personal information for booking and do not share your details with unrelated third parties. Your data is protected under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes shall be handled in Australian courts, with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) as the regulatory body.
